Have you ever had Brandy Mince Pie?
This is a mincemeat pie for people who don’t think they like mincemeat pie.
Mincemeat pie was traditionally a holiday pie made with actual meat, dried fruits and nuts. Today it is usually meat-free but is heavy and too sweet. Ours is vegetarian and made with a brighter assortment of ingredients than other mincemeat pies.
Featuring local organic apples from Marshall Ranch in Sebastopol, dried peaches, apricots, almonds and pears from Chris Gertz in Winters, organic raisins, organic brown sugar, house made organic candied orange peels and more, we prepare this filling weeks in advance so the flavors can mingle with cider and brandy, then bake it into a pie with our buttery, flaky crust.
